Trust in Security Information & Event Management from Intellitactics

Intellitactics invests annually in developing software that adheres to security testing, evaluation and assessment needs of both information technology producers and consumers. Intellitactics was the first security information and event management (SIEM) vendor to be awarded Common Criteria Certification, sponsored by the National Information Assurance Partnership, a US government initiative.

For this certification, Intellitactics created its own Security Target against which to be evaluated; this target was more appropriate for the Security Information Management industry. Competitive products in this space chose to use existing Security Targets initially created for the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) industry. An evaluation using IDS Security Target, however, is somewhat misleading.
