Intellitactics SAFE Enterprise Security Appliance

Intellitactics SAFE (SAFE) is a growing line of appliances that enable every organization to actively manage more logs from more devices to decrease the number of security related and compliance related incidents. SAFE LA simply acquires logs, then compresses and encrypts logs and forwards the logs to a Security Data Warehouse™ (SDW) on any of the other SAFE appliances or on the Intellitactics Security Manager server.

SAFE XL offers logging and event management for a technology administrator or manager and provides a deep dive into the logs to uncover hidden information through packaged queries and reports. At the same time, it provides a non-intrusive flow of log data to security managers to use for compliance reporting or security event management.

SAFE appliances are packaged to be right sized for every organizational model and budget. This means no expensive appliance stacking; reducing energy and rack space requirements and making the SAFE appliances an eco-friendly choice.

Hierarchical Deployment

SAFE LA is the only appliance in the family that works only with the other appliances or with the software solution Intellitactics Security Manager (ISM).

SAFE LP offers stand alone capability. It’s effective as the headquarters solution (figure 1) or can be subordinate to another SAFE LP or ISM (figure 2). SAFE LP’s own Security Data Warehouse (SDW) stores compressed logs in a flat file and events in a relational database. This appliance also sends processed logs and events to another SDW located on a dominant SAFE LP or ISM. Similarly, SAFE XL works alone or can be implemented to send processed logs or events to a centralized SAFE LP or ISM.

SAFE Appliances: Simple and Smart

SAFE LA is used by cost-conscious organizations to simplify log collection in distributed environments. SAFE LA is a hardened appliance used on sub-networks and can be focused on technology types that are high volume by nature, like firewalls. SAFE LA is ‘plug and play,’ simple to implement, requires no management and is self monitoring.

SAFE LP automates many steps of audit preparation and response. At the same time this plug and play appliance uncovers information hidden in logs enabled by Intellitactics’ continuous parsing. SAFE LP gives investigators and analysts the time they need to explore events for evolving threats and attacks.
