Intellitactics Positioned in 2009 Report for Security Information and Event Management

Reston, VA, June 3, 2009—Intellitactics™, Intellitactics, a leading provider of appliances and software for enterprise security management, announced its position in Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management” (SIEM). According to Gartner, vendors are positioned in the Leaders, Visionaries, Challengers, or Niche Players quadrants based Gartner’s independent evaluation of the company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.
Randall K. Davis, Intellitactics president and chief executive officer, comments on the SIEM market: “Unlike many of the other vendors in this space, we offer two distinct SIEM solutions for two very different markets. Gartner analysts, Marc Nicolette and Kelly Kavanagh write in the report: “Ease of deployment, ease of support and log management functions are weighted more heavily than advanced event management functions or the ability to heavily customize a SIEM [deployment].” Pam Casale, Intellitactics chief marketing officer said that new customers and the channel validate the research findings and that Intellitactics’ new SAFE appliances address the current market requirements for simplification and rapid deployment as described in the research.
