Intellitactics Breaks Out in 2005, Overachieves Revenue Plan

Makes significant inroads in healthcare vertical and increased sales to MSPs

Reston, VA, May 16, 2005—Intellitactics, Inc. continued its revenue growth trend with its twelfth record-breaking quarter. The mix of new business included significant wins in the healthcare vertical and adoption of the company’s security information management (SIM) solution by Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This quarter comes on the heels of unprecedented 2004 revenue performance punctuated with the highest number of new customers added in a single quarter in the company’s history.

Intellitactics provides enterprise security management for the companies and agencies with the most to lose if they fail to protect critical information assets. The company’s flagship solution, Intellitactics Security Manager, simplifies the management of complex security landscapes and provides unprecedented control to organizations to rapidly and comprehensively identify information security incidents, deploy resources on the threats that pose the greatest risks, and verify and validate that internal controls required for regulatory compliance are effective.

“We began to see increased activity in healthcare due to the compelling need for these organizations to demonstrate compliance with HIPAA regulations. We believe the endorsement of these companies is due to their ability to get immediate return from their investment with data mining and reporting to satisfy internal audits. They also like the fact that they can use this investment to improve security capabilities going forward,” explains Randall Davis, CEO of Intellitactics. Managed Service Providers ranging from large national providers to smaller regional companies are also investing in Intellitactics. Davis provided further detail. “The ability to quickly acquire and process data, the capacity to store native messages, and summarized detail for rapid recovery of information are the hallmarks of Security Manager. The product has no competitors in these areas and these happen to be critical selection criteria for the MSP community. The revenue from MSPs represented a large portion of our Q1 revenue performance.”

The company also sites an increase in third-party technology partnerships. Ron Hardy, Chief Strategy Officer for Intellitactics, details the program: “Intellitactics Security Manager is extremely extensible – we can adapt to any managed security environment. By integrating new and valuable data sources from companies, such as iDEFENSE, that provide vulnerability and malcode intelligence or other data used to prevent identity theft or fraud, we continue to extend the value of the solution long after the sale is over. This is becoming an increasingly important differentiator for us.”

Intellitactics Security Manager, a fully integrated security information management solution, offers threat management, incident management, and reporting. During the current quarter the company began an initiative to modularize this solution and announced Intellitactics Security Reporter (April 27, 2005 Intellitactics Releases Security Reporter). This stand alone application replaces expensive manual log viewing with time saving, out of the box reporting; and includes Intellitactics Hyperdrill, which quickly mines security data and provides in three-click navigation from summary reports to aggregated event detail to the specifics of one event.
