Intellitactics Demonstrates Industry Leadership with Intellitactics Security Manager Suite Featuring Foundation Services
Intellitactics Security Manager is redefining easy--easy to buy, easy to use with a new pricing model designed to attract buyers in all marketsRSA Conference and Expo, San Francisco, CA, February 14, 2005—Intellitactics launched its new Intellitactics Security Manager featuring Foundation Services to address two needs: immediate marketplace requirements for compliance reporting and the need to sustain a compliance environment by building a comprehensive security program. Intellitactics Security Manager, a fully integrated solution offering threat management, incident management and security reporting, simplifies the management of complex security landscapes. Security Manager gives unprecedented control to security operations to mitigate the impact of attacks and reduce the cost of recovery and clean up.
Ron Hardy, vice president of product management at Intellitactics explains, “Security Manager provides an innovative template for the Intellitactics solution suite moving forward. Intellitactics is meeting the explosive demand for security information management (SIM) with product enhancements and, more important, packaging and pricing improvements to make it easy to buy and implement a SIM.”
Security Manager introduces several new features and unprecedented performance improvements. Beginning in March of 2005, packaged applications for reporting, threat management, and incident management will be released throughout the year as part of the Security Manager suite, effectively breaking up the bundled features of Security Manager as it is shipped today.
Modular Packaging – More Value
With this new release, Intellitactics transitions its NSM product, with over 150 production customer implementations, from a customizable platform delivered as an appliance to an integrated suite of applications with the convenience of out-of-the-box value combined with the ability to adapt to unique environments with configurable features—all running on the industry standard operating system Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The release this month of Intellitactics Security Manager initially offers three fully integrated applications in one package: threat management, incident management, and security reporting. The name Security Manager will be retained as the suite name covering current and future applications. All the modules of the suite work with the popular option, Intellitactics Advanced Analytics.
Randall K. Davis, president and CEO of Intellitactics suggests, “Companies that are driven by an immediate need for compliance verification and validation in the form of reports, for example, may only need to implement security reporting today. Organizations that acknowledge this short-term need, but who are also looking for long-term value from compliance investments and see the value in operationalizing security, would be more interested in threat management along with security reporting. Finally, there are organizations that are high on the maturity capability scale who need a comprehensive security management solution and our full suite is an excellent solution for them.”
Usage-based Pricing
Concurrent with the new modular packaging, Intellitactics introduces a value-based pricing model that realistically maps to usage. The packaging combined with the new pricing model is designed to make it easier for security management buyers to select Intellitactics.
Ron Hardy explains, “The product packaging, new pricing model, and the enhancements to each of the applications create a compelling story. We have been successful listening to our customers and these changes reflect what they have been telling us.”
The benefits of the new product packaging and pricing include industry leading Total Cost of Ownership, rapid time to value, and the ability to select and implement solutions as needed and within budget.
Foundation Services
Intellitactics Foundation Services provides the underlying solution architecture that differentiates Intellitactics from other single-purpose security products. Whereas most SIM solutions require significant script writing or customization in order to perform threat detection, the new Intellitactics Security Manager enables threat definitions to simply be checked-off during the configuration of the product. Additionally, Security Manager enables customers to prioritize the most critical threats to the business by automatically cross referencing threats against enterprise assets and available internal and external vulnerability data.
Intellitactics Security Manager features a multi-dimensional, self-managing data store—Security Data Warehouse—that supports both real-time threat management and extensive management reporting. In addition, the system uniquely provides the data management processes that simultaneously provide the performance needed for real-time alert management and the capacity to store large volumes of secured, native-event data mandated for forensic analysis and the creation of admissible evidence for legal defense. Benefits include increased accuracy, superior results, and increased productivity. With the new Foundation Services Intellitactics expands its already significant performance lead over other SIM solutions.
