Randall K. Davis
President & Chief Executive Officer, Intellitactics Inc.
Randall joined Intellitactics in November, 2002 as President and CEO. During his tenure Intellitactics has evolved to a leadership position as a software and service provider in the enterprise security management space. He has 20 years of experience in leadership positions in public software companies, such as Sterling Software, Systems Center and VM Software, where he gained extensive experience in the unique requirements of enterprise infrastructure software, specifically network management, systems management and information security. Randall served as president of the Network Management Division of Sterling Software, a $130 million network and systems automation leader providing solutions globally to many of the world’s largest enterprises. He currently serves in board and advisory capacities for several early-stage technology companies. Randall is a graduate of Virginia Tech.
Gary G. Greenfield
Chairman, Intellitactics Inc.
Gary was named chairman of Intellitactics in June 2002. A proven senior executive with multidisciplinary experience in technology, Gary currently serves as chief executive officer of GXS, which operates one of the largest B2B e-commerce networks in the world. He is also an operating partner for Francisco Partners, the world's largest technology-focused buyout fund.
Formerly, Gary was CEO of Peregrine Systems, Inc., a global leader in infrastructure management, where he also served on the board of directors. Prior to this role, Gary was president and CEO of MERANT (NASDAQ: MRNT), a publicly traded e-business development solutions company formed in November 1998 from the merger of Micro Focus Group and INTERSOLV.
Throughout his career, Gary has held various executive management positions, including vice president of marketing, chief operating officer, president and CEO. He is a special advisor to JMI Equity, a venture capital firm focused on investing in all stages of software and related services companies. Presently, Gary serves on the boards of Hyperion Solutions, Mobius Management Systems and Managed Objects. He is also a member of the board and past chairman of the Information Technology Association of America; and a member of the Norwood School Board of Trustees.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Science Administration degree from George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Harry S. Gruner
General Partner, JMI Equity Fund L.P.
Mr. Gruner co-founded JMI in 1992 and is based in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Gruner is currently a Director of Appriss, Inc., Aptela, Inc., Autotask Corporation, Control Point Solutions, Inc., Courion Corporation, Intellitactics, Inc. and PROS Holdings, Inc. and oversees JMI's investment in CyberTech Systems and Software, Inc. His past JMI investment experience includes Corliant, Inc., Financial Alliance, Inc., Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Inc., META Group, Inc., Optika Imaging Systems, Inc., Transaction Systems Architects, Inc. and Transcentive, Inc. Additionally, Mr. Gruner was a Director of Hyperion Software Corporation.
Prior to co-founding the Firm in 1992, Mr. Gruner was a Principal in the Technology Group at Alex. Brown. Prior to joining Alex. Brown, he worked in marketing at Sigma Design, Inc. and in investment banking in the Technology Group of Blyth Eastman PaineWebber, Inc.
Mr. Gruner graduated from Yale University and the Harvard Business School.
Kevin Burns
Managing Principal, Lazard Technology Partners
Kevin founded Intersolv, formerly Sage Software, in 1982 and served as its president and CEO until October 1996, at which time he was made Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, the company grew to $200 million in annual revenues, with over 1,000 employees and a public market value of $400 million. Kevin led the company’s transition from IBM mainframes to the client/server environment and expanded its distribution to include Europe and Asia.
Prior to founding Intersolv, Kevin served in senior sales, marketing and development management positions at Cincom Systems, a database management software company. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a graduate of Ohio State University, Columbus. Kevin's areas of investment focus include enterprise software and applications, security software, system software and Internet applications. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the following companies:
